Atreus Systems Receives Internet Telephony Magazine’s 2005
“Product of the Year” Award for VoIP Provisioning and Activation

Strong Customer Adoption of Atreus’ IP Service Provisioning Software
Secures Prestigious Award, Two Years Running

Ottawa, ON – January 17, 2006 — Atreus Systems™, the premier supplier of VoIP and advanced IP service provisioning software, today announced that the editors of Technology Marketing Corporation’s INTERNET TELEPHONY® magazine have named Atreus’ IP Service Provisioning software as the recipient of the 2005 Product of the Year Award. The award is made in recognition of Atreus’ continued leadership in addressing the critical service delivery challenges providers face in deploying VoIP and advanced IP services.

“Atreus has been instrumental in the explosive growth of VoIP and the larger IP telephony industry this year,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY® magazine. “We evaluated hundreds of firms based on quality of deployments, strength of technology, company vision, and competitive market position, and we’re proud to reward Atreus for their hard work and innovation in helping service providers overcome the hurdles to deploying VoIP.”

According to Editorial Director Greg Galitzine, "The Product of the Year awards exemplify the best that this industry has to offer. The companies earning this distinction have demonstrated a commitment to quality, and a commitment to the further development of the IP telephony industry through their contributions. Atreus deserves this great honor, and I look forward to seeing other innovative solutions from them as they continue to contribute to the future of VoIP and IP telephony.”

Become Operational with VoIP and Advanced IP Service Bundles
Atreus’ IP Service Provisioning Solution delivers pre-integrated provisioning and configuration for a variety of VoIP devices, including soft switches, feature servers, media servers, ATAs, IADs and IP phones, helping providers become operational quickly so that they can successfully turn up subscribers and bill for services.

In a related announcement, Atreus was selected by Level 3 Communications (Nasdaq:LVLT) to participate in its (3)VoIP Technology Alliance Program (TAP). The alliance empowers service providers to quickly become operational with a fully-featured VoIP service, enabling providers to successfully turn-up and manage a service. Atreus’ customer self-management solution allows providers to rapidly introduce revenue-generating communications bundles to residential and business markets. When combined with Level 3’s enhanced services, Atreus’ automated service delivery solution addresses the complexities of offering local services in the North American market, including E911 emergency service and local number portability requirements.

“We’re pleased that our innovation and customer successes are being recognized by Internet Telephony magazine for the second year in a row,” said Andrea Baptiste, CEO, Atreus Systems. “The industry’s top carriers and resellers have come to rely on our robust VoIP solutions, which help them become operational quickly and simplify the more complicated aspects of rolling out VoIP services, such as Local Number Portability and E-911 configuration.”
