Edgewater Networks and Atreus Systems Partner
to Automate Deployment of Hosted VoIP Services

Santa Clara, Calif, October 17, 2005 — Atreus Systems™, the premier supplier of VoIP and advanced IP service provisioning software, and Edgewater Networks, Inc., the leader in Application-Aware Networking™, today announced a partnership that will enable service providers to shorten installation cycles, reduce operating costs and increase the scalability of hosted VoIP services.

The joint solution combines the powerful capabilities of Edgewater Networks’ award-winning EdgeView network management system, EdgeMarc converged network appliances, and EdgeConnect managed PoE switch with Atreus’ Multi-Service Provisioning Solution. This compelling combination gives providers best-in-class, interoperable components for critical portions of hosted VoIP service offerings including customer premises equipment, element management, provisioning, activation and customer self-management software.

The strategic partnership enables providers to automate the provisioning of the customer premises by creating global, site and device specific IP phone configuration files along with the appropriate EdgeMarc converged network appliance and EdgeConnect switch configuration files. These files are then routed and installed on the appropriate devices. Notification of the installation will be provided for workflow management purposes creating a closed loop process for automated flow through activation.
