Utilizing technical background in engineering, supports direct marketers in the selling of electrical products, solutions, and systems. Collaborates with sales teams to give technical input in gathering requirements, preparing customer proposals, and setting customer expectations. Delivers detailed product demonstrations that succinctly capture the functionality and benefits of the company’s products. Conducts requirements-gathering workshops that identify specific customer requirements and provides industry-specific solutions. Creates and develops new sales or service contracts for existing accounts. Identifies potential client base and develops new sales and account opportunities in the U.S., Canada, and South American markets in the telecom, cable MSOs, and service provider markets. Develops robust sales pipeline to achieve assigned sales quotas and sustained forecast accuracy. Documents market feedback to identify competitive strengths and threats in order to modify products and services.

Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in engineering solution sales and support to the telecommunications market. In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of experience, will accept 7 years of education and/or experience in engineering sales and support to the telecommunications market, including international markets. Also requires the following- Experience with telecom Operational Support Systems (OSS); experience with ILEC sales; Experience with Customer Number Management System (CNUM), Loop Facility Assignment Customer System (LFACS), and Service Order Administration and Control (SOOAC); and experience with Sessions Initiation Protocol (SIP), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE).
